Frequently Asked Questions

What is financial coaching, and how is it different from financial advising?

Financial coaching is a supportive, forward-moving process that helps you understand your money, organize it with confidence, and build a financial rhythm that actually works in your real life.

Unlike financial advising - which focuses on investment strategies, retirement planning, and managing wealth - financial coaching meets you in the day-to-day decisions that shape your financial health. We look at your habits, patterns, stress points, and goals… and we build a practical system you can sustain long-term.

I won’t tell you where to invest or manage your portfolio. Instead, I help you gain clarity, create a personalized plan, and walk with you as you build stability, peace, and intention with your money.

Coaching is about transformation from the inside out - your mindset, your systems, and the everyday choices that support the life you feel called to build.

What makes Prosperous Nest different from other money programs?

Prosperous Nest isn’t a one-size-fits-all system or a rigid set of rules. It’s a personalized, grace-filled approach that meets you right where you are and helps you build a money life that supports your values, your family, and the future you feel called to create.

Instead of handing you a generic budget or telling you to “just spend less,” I walk with you through the deeper layers - your habits, your money story, your rhythms, and the pressures you quietly carry. Together, we build a money system that feels steady, doable, and aligned with real life.

You’re not doing this alone. I serve as a trusted guide - someone who sees the whole picture with you, brings clarity when things feel tangled, and helps you move from overwhelm to intentional action step by step.

My goal isn’t just to help you manage money.
It’s to help you build a financial foundation that creates peace in your home, supports your life, and frees you to live with greater purpose.

Is financial coaching right for me?

If money often feels stressful, confusing, or like a point of tension in your home, coaching can help. You don’t need to have it all together or even know where to start. Coaching is for individuals and couples who want clarity, accountability, and hope with their finances.

If you’re tired of avoiding money or trying to figure it out alone, financial coaching gives you both the tools and the support to finally move forward.

Do you work with individuals, couples or young adults?

Yes. I work with couples, individuals, and young adults - because each season of life comes with its own financial questions, pressures, and opportunities.

Couples often come to me wanting clarity, unity, and a shared financial rhythm. Many feel like they’ve been “doing money” separately, even while doing life together. Coaching gives them a safe, structured way to communicate, get on the same page, and build a plan they both feel good about.

Individuals usually come looking for relief from stress, clarity in the chaos, or confidence in their next steps. Whether you're starting fresh, rebuilding, or ready for a new level of intention, we create a system that fits your life - not someone else’s idea of how you should handle money.

Young adults often need support in building the foundational habits and confidence that will serve them for decades. These sessions are encouraging, practical, and designed to set them up for early wins and long-term stability.

No matter who I’m working with, the heart of coaching stays the same:
I’ll help you see your finances clearly, understand what’s getting in the way, and walk with you as you build a system that brings peace, stability, and purpose.

How do I get started?

The best place to begin is with a free 20-minute Q&A Call. This call gives you space to share what’s been going on with your finances, ask your questions, and get a feel for what it would be like to work together. It’s relaxed, honest, and designed to help you find clarity - not pressure.

If coaching feels like a good fit, your next step will be scheduling a Money Clarity Session. That’s where we take a deep dive into your financial world, uncover what’s really going on, and identify the changes that will bring the most peace and stability.

From there, if ongoing support would serve you well, I’ll walk you through what the Money Map Breakthrough looks like and how the process works. We make decisions together, step by step.

You don’t need to have anything figured out before you reach out.

Just start with the conversation - I’ll guide you from there.

What happens in The Money Clarity Session?

The Money Clarity Session is where everything begins. It’s a focused, supportive deep dive into your financial world - what’s working, what feels heavy, and what clarity you’re longing for.

During this session, we look at your income, expenses, rhythms, and current systems (or lack of systems), and we talk through the emotional and practical layers of your financial life. Together, we identify what’s actually causing stress, where things feel tangled, and what changes would make the biggest impact.

By the end, you’ll walk away with:

A clear understanding of your current financial landscape

The key areas that need attention

The next steps that will move you toward stability and peace

A personalized recommendation for whether ongoing coaching through the Money Map Breakthrough is the right next step

Most people tell me they leave this session feeling lighter, hopeful, and finally able to see a way forward. It’s the first step toward building a money system that supports the life you feel called to build.

What’s the difference between The Money Clarity Session and The Money Map Breakthrough?

The Money Clarity Session is your starting point. It gives you a clear picture of where you are right now - financially, emotionally, and practically. Think of it as the “diagnosis” stage: we uncover what’s really going on, what’s causing stress, and what changes would make the biggest impact. You walk away with clarity, direction, and a personalized recommendation for your next steps.

The Money Map Breakthrough is where we build, implement, and strengthen your entire money system. Over six months, we create a values-aligned plan, walk through the day-to-day decisions together, and build habits and rhythms that bring stability and peace into your financial life.

We start with weekly sessions to set up your full money system, then move into twice a month sessions to help you practice, adjust, and stay supported as real life happens.

In short:
The Clarity Session shows you the path.
The Breakthrough helps you walk it - with confidence, support, and a personalized roadmap.

Why isn’t the full Money Map Breakthrough program listed on the main page?

I keep my main Work With Me page intentionally simple. Most people arrive feeling overwhelmed, unsure where to start, or already carrying quiet pressure around money. Listing every detail upfront can make the process feel heavier than it needs to.

Instead, everyone begins with a Q&A Call and then the Money Clarity Session, which gives us both the chance to understand your situation clearly before making any big decisions. Once we know what’s going on, I walk you through the Money Map Breakthrough step-by-step so you can see exactly how it would support you.

Nothing is hidden.
I simply believe in sharing information at the right time - when it’s helpful, not overwhelming.

If ongoing coaching turns out to be the right next step, you’ll receive everything you need to make a peaceful, well-informed decision.

What’s included in the Money Map Breakthrough?

The Money Map Breakthrough is a six-month coaching experience designed to help you build a financial system that feels clear, steady, and aligned with your real life. It’s not a quick fix - it’s a guided transformation that gives you the structure, support, and habits you need for long-term peace with money.

Here’s what’s included:

✔ 8 Weekly Build-Out Sessions

We start by creating your full Money Map: a values-based plan that organizes your income, spending, savings, non-monthly expenses, goals, and debt in a way that finally makes sense.
I build the system with you, step by step, so you never feel lost or overwhelmed.

✔ Twice-Monthly Coaching Sessions (after the first 8 weeks)

This is where clarity becomes confidence. We walk through real-life decisions, adjust your plan as things shift, and build habits that support long-term consistency.

✔ A Personalized Money System Created for Your Life

We’ll set up your accounts, categories, and rhythms in Monarch Money so your finances stay organized and easy to maintain.

✔ Emotional & Mindset Coaching

Money isn’t just math - it’s the stories, fears, pressures, and patterns we carry. I help you understand those layers so you can move forward with peace instead of guilt or avoidance.

✔ Ongoing Support Between Sessions

You’ll never be left alone to figure things out. You can reach out for clarity between sessions whenever something comes up.

✔ A Partner in Your Progress

This isn’t a DIY program. I’m walking with you - helping you celebrate wins, navigate challenges, and stay grounded in the life you feel called to build.

If the Money Clarity Session is the moment things finally make sense, the Money Map Breakthrough is the journey that helps you live it out with confidence and support.

Do I need to complete the Money Clarity Session before joining the Money Map Breakthrough?

Yes - every client begins with the Money Clarity Session. It’s the foundation for all the work we do together.

This session gives us a clear, honest picture of your financial world: the patterns, pressures, strengths, and gaps that need attention. Without that clarity, it would be almost impossible to build a system that truly fits your life.

The Clarity Session also gives you space to feel what it’s like to be supported, guided, and understood. You’ll know by the end whether ongoing coaching feels like the right next step - and I’ll be able to determine whether the Breakthrough program is a good fit for what you need.

Nothing about this process is rushed or pressured.
We simply start with clarity, and from there, we discern the next step together.

How much does the Money Map Breakthrough cost?

The Money Map Breakthrough is a six-month coaching experience priced at $2,197 for the full program.

Most clients choose a monthly payment plan after the initial setup month, which helps keep coaching accessible without adding financial strain. During your Money Clarity Session, we talk through what feels sustainable for you so that your financial growth doesn’t come at the cost of your peace.

I’m committed to transparency. There are no surprise fees and no upsells - just a clear path forward and honest guidance as you decide what’s right for you.

If you’re exploring whether ongoing coaching is the next best step, don’t worry about the price yet. Start with the Q&A Call and the Clarity Session. Those two steps alone will give you the insight you need to make a confident, grounded decision.

Do you offer payment plans for the Money Map Breakthrough?

Yes. Most clients choose the monthly payment plan for the Money Map Breakthrough, and it’s designed to support your financial stability rather than add pressure.

Here’s how the payment structure works:

First Payment - $797

This is paid before your first coaching session and includes:

- $497 setup fee (for the intensive build-out and onboarding work during the first 8 weeks)

- $300 for Month 1 of coaching

- Recurring Subscription — $280/month

*Begins 30 days after your first coaching session

*Continues for 5 additional monthly payments
Total program cost: $2,197

This structure ensures the upfront work is covered while keeping the ongoing monthly investment predictable and accessible.

During your Money Clarity Session, we’ll also talk through what feels sustainable for you. My goal is never to stretch your finances thin. Coaching should bring peace, support, and clarity - not strain.

No hidden fees. No surprise charges.
Just an honest, steady plan and a guide walking with you each step of the way.

Can I see more details about the Money Map Breakthrough before booking?

Yes - I’m always transparent about what the Money Map Breakthrough includes, and I’m happy to walk you through it when the timing is right.

The reason I don’t share every detail upfront is simple: most people come to me already overwhelmed. My goal is to help you take this journey one clear step at a time so you never feel pressured or overloaded with information.

During your Money Clarity Session, we focus on your financial picture first - what’s working, what feels heavy, and what clarity you’re longing for. Once we understand your situation, I’ll share exactly how the Breakthrough works only if it feels like the right next step for you.

You’ll get all the details you need to make a peaceful, well-informed decision - just not before it’s helpful.

No surprises. No pressure.
Just clarity, support, and the information that matters at the right moment.

If you’re simply curious about the general structure before booking, I’m happy to give a brief overview in the Q&A Call.

Why do you offer a six-month program instead of month-to-month coaching?

Lasting financial change takes time. It takes clarity, practice, support, and room to grow into new habits. A six-month container gives you all of that without the pressure of “figuring it out fast.”

The first two months are where we build your entire money system - your structure, your categories, your rhythms, and the emotional foundation behind your decisions. After that, we shift into biweekly coaching so you can practice the system in real life with guidance and accountability.

This rhythm gives you time to:

- Build confidence using your new system

- Navigate unexpected life moments

- Strengthen emotional and behavioral patterns

- Stay consistent long enough to experience real peace and stability

Month-to-month coaching simply doesn’t create the depth or consistency needed for meaningful, long-term change.

Six months gives you the space to transform - not just your numbers, but the relationship you have with money.

What if I’m not good with numbers or budgeting?

You don’t have to be good with numbers to benefit from coaching - that’s actually one of the most common things clients tell me when they start.

What matters isn’t your math skills. What matters is your desire for clarity and a system that feels doable in everyday life.

During our work together, I break everything down into simple steps, and we build your money system side-by-side. I guide the structure, the setup, and the strategy. You just bring your real life, your goals, and your willingness to learn.

And honestly? The clients who say they’re “bad with numbers” often end up with the strongest systems, because they finally have support, clarity, and a rhythm that makes sense.

You don’t need perfection - just a starting point. I’ll walk with you through the rest.

What if my financial situation feels too messy or embarrassing?

You’re not alone - and you’re not too far gone.

Most clients come to me feeling some mix of shame, overwhelm, or fear about letting someone else see behind the curtain. That’s completely normal.

But here’s the truth:
Your situation is never too messy for clarity, and it’s never too late for a fresh start.

My role isn’t to judge you. It’s to help you understand what’s really going on, bring light to the areas that feel heavy, and guide you toward a healthier, steadier way of managing your money. Everything you share is handled with complete confidentiality and compassion.

If anything, the “messy middle” is often where the most meaningful transformation happens. Together, we untangle what’s confusing, simplify what feels overwhelming, and create a path forward that feels hopeful and doable.

You don’t have to hide.
You just need a safe place to begin - and I’m here to give you that.

What if I can’t afford coaching right now?

That’s a very real concern, and you’re not the only one who feels it. Money stress can make any investment feel scary - especially when you’re trying to be wise and responsible.

Here’s what I want you to know:
I never push anyone into coaching.

My goal is to help you make the decision that brings the most peace, not pressure.

The Money Clarity Session is an affordable first step, and many clients use that session alone to understand what’s going on, reduce stress, and make meaningful changes on their own. If ongoing coaching is something you want but the timing isn’t right, I’ll help you identify a plan to move toward it without compromising your stability.

And when you are ready, we can absolutely talk about payment options that make coaching accessible without adding strain.

No matter what you choose, you’re welcome here. And clarity is always a step you can take - even before the budget feels perfect.

How much time does coaching require each week?

Most clients find the time commitment very manageable - and often surprisingly refreshing.

During the first eight weeks, we meet weekly for about an hour as we build out your full Money Map system. After that, we shift to twice a month one - hour sessions, giving you space to practice the rhythms we’ve created together.

Outside of our calls, you’ll spend a small amount of time checking in with your money system, but it’s designed to fit into your normal life without feeling heavy or demanding. Many clients tell me they actually enjoy their money check-ins once the chaos is gone and the system finally makes sense.

My goal is never to burden you with more.

It’s to help you create a rhythm that brings peace, clarity, and confidence - one that supports your life, not competes with it.

Will I have to follow a strict budget?

No - my approach isn’t about forcing you into a rigid plan that makes life feel smaller. It’s about creating a money rhythm that reflects your real life, your values, and the things that matter most.

A strict budget often feels like punishment.
A values-based plan feels like freedom.

We’ll build a system that gives structure where you need it, flexibility where it matters, and clarity so you always know what’s safe to spend. If Starbucks is a joy for you? It stays. If travel, date nights, or generosity are important, we build them in with intention rather than guilt.

The goal isn’t restriction. It’s alignment.
A plan that supports the life you’re creating - not one that limits it.

What if my spouse or partner isn’t on board yet?

It’s completely normal for couples to be in different emotional places when it comes to money. One partner may feel ready for clarity while the other feels unsure, overwhelmed, or hesitant - that doesn’t mean coaching isn’t right for you.

For couples, I strongly encourage both partners to join the Q&A Call, even if one is unsure. This call isn’t a commitment; it’s simply a conversation where you can both ask questions, understand the process, and see what support might look like.

Having both of you on the call protects you from:

- Feeling responsible for explaining everything to your partner

- Landing in a “we need to talk about it” limbo

- Making decisions based on assumptions instead of clarity

My goal is to create a safe, neutral, supportive space where both of you can feel heard and understood. Once each person has a chance to ask their questions and see that coaching isn’t about shame or blame - but about peace, clarity, and teamwork - the hesitation usually softens.

If your partner is resistant, you’re still welcome to book the call on your own, and we’ll talk through the best next step together. But whenever possible, starting the journey side by side sets you up for a smoother, more connected experience.

Take the next step toward peace with your money.
